The current CEO said that the decline happened because of exaggerated projections made by the previous CEO, Frank Bisignano.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s the same Frank Bisignano that Donald Trump put in charge of both Social Security and the IRS. Bisignano is now facing a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paymentsdive.com\/news\/investors-vie-to-lead-fiserv-stock-lawsuit-shareholders-clover\/802227\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">lawsuit<\/a> from investors, including a police pension fund that lost $1.67 million. He is being sued for \u2018artificially inflating [Fiserv\u2019s] growth numbers.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>When Bisignano joined the Trump administration, he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-10-29\/frank-bisignano-ducks-300-million-fiserv-fi-loss-with-move-to-trump-role?accessToken=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiIsInR5cCI6IkpXVCJ9.eyJzb3VyY2UiOiJTdWJzY3JpYmVyR2lmdGVkQXJ0aWNsZSIsImlhdCI6MTc2MTgzNTg3MCwiZXhwIjoxNzYyNDQwNjcwLCJhcnRpY2xlSWQiOiJUNFdKT1RHT1QwSkswMCIsImJjb25uZWN0SWQiOiI1NDgxMUFBRTI1Q0U0MkU1QUUyMzJERkEwOEM2QjBBQSJ9.-QSpsp5c3ma9BBQzFDnxqf2-QAb0B6dZlvKxXdV_0u0\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">sold<\/a> all of his Fiserv stock, getting a big tax break in the process. That sale saved him $300 million (and counting) in stock value. Did Bisignano know that Fiserv\u2019s stock was about to tank, and ask his friend Donald Trump for a life raft? <\/p>\n<p>Bisignano is in charge of the American people\u2019s hard-earned Social Security benefits, as well as the collection of our taxes \u2014 despite his total lack of expertise, or even basic knowledge, of either. He infamously <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/new-head-social-security-hired-wall-street-tells\/story?id=122075152\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">admitted<\/a> that he had to google \u2018Social Security\u2019 when Trump offered him the job. If he engaged in wrongdoing, the people need to know. <\/p>\n<p>How can we trust any claims Bisignano makes about Social Security, such as his insistence that phone service is improving even as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/interactive\/2025\/social-security-wait-hold-callback\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">media reports<\/a> show otherwise? <\/p>\n<p>The Justice Department should launch an immediate investigation. So should Congress. Unfortunately, neither body has shown any willingness to hold Donald Trump or his nominees accountable. Bisignano should resign or be fired.
